Christopher Nolan’s Next Movie Gets July 2020 Release Date

Warner Bros. has set  Christopher Nolan’s’s next movie for July 17, 2020.

The studio added that the film will be released in IMAX, a favorite format of Nolan, who had shot sequences in the extra-large screen format for previous films. The film is expected by Nolan’s first since the WWII drama Dunkirk, which was released on the same weekend in 2017.

Nolan is no stranger to late-July releases. The acclaimed director released both Batman films, Dark Knight and Dark Knight RisesInception, which grossed over $828 million worldwide, as well as the three-time Oscar-winner Dunkirk, the third weekend of July. The latter was Nolan’s latest big picture success, which earned him his first Best Director nomination, in addition to grossing $526.9 worldwide.
